Before an airbrush application:
For best results, shower before each airbrush session. Use an exfoliating gel or lotion when showering and be sure to remove any moisturizer, deodorant and perfume before you arrive. These items will change the PH balance of your skin and may cause streaking. Remove all jewelry to prevent 'shadows'. You may wear your under garments, swim wear, or prefer nothing at all depending on what areas you wish to tan. Wear loose fitting, cotton clothing to your appointment. Sorry, but we DO NOT tan men nude. Men must wear some form of an undergarment.
If you are getting a pedicure prior to your sunless tan, please let your nail technician know, so that they can omit the lotion during your pedicure.
After the tanning application:
Do not shower for 6-8 hours! DHA (active ingredient) takes 8 hours to fully absorb into the skin. It is essential that you keep completely dry for this period. Avoid any activity that may cause you to perspire. The instant bronzer may be washed off after 8 hours as by then the DHA tan will have begun to develop. The DHA tan takes 24 hours to fully develop and will last 7-10 days. Moisturize daily to keep your tan looking its very best. The instant bronzer may rub off on clothes but it is water soluble and washes out of most fabrics except silk and some types of nylon. Just like a sun tan, your airbrush tan will begin to fade after a few days, unlike the cancer causing affects of the suns rays and sun lamps that last forever.
